C.W. Matthews offers paid internships in the following categories:

  • College Summer Internship (8 -12 Week Program)
  • High School Summer Internship (8 – 12 Week Program)
  • High School Work Based Learning Internships (Semester or Year Long Program)

All internships are structured to educate and offer hands-on experiences in a broad range of positions from heavy equipment operations, surveying, traffic control, asphalt manufacturing, asphalt milling, asphalt and concrete installation, bridge construction, quality control and equipment maintenance. You choose the path that sounds the most fun and exciting to you, then begin paving the way to your future career with the company that is leading the heavy highway construction industry in the south, C.W. High School Partnerships & Heavy Equipment Operator Training Program

C.W. Matthews is active in high schools throughout Georgia, partnering with educators to create unique hands-on activities that expose students to the Heavy Highway Construction Industry. We are the first contractor in the world to pilot the Caterpillar curriculum that goes hand in hand with the state-of-the-art Caterpillar simulators, with our employees in our very own CWM Apprenticeship Program.

And with our success, we have worked closely with CAT Simulators to create a custom designed program that is now being implemented in high schools across the state of Georgia. No contractor takes a more active role in raising up the next generation of talent for our industry than C.W. Matthews.
